How do I download a YouTube video using YTSave?
Copy the YouTube video URL from your browser address bar or click Share > Copy Link in the app. Open YTSave, paste the URL into the input field at the top of the page, choose your preferred MP4 or MP3 quality, and click 'Convert & Download'.
Can I download 4K and 8K videos using YTSave?
Yes, YTSave supports downloading videos in 4K (2160p) and 8K (4320p) resolutions, provided the original video was uploaded to YouTube in that quality. We merge high-definition video-only streams with high-quality audio tracks using server-side processing.
How long does it take to download a video on YTSave?
Most conversions and stream extractions are completed in under 3 seconds. The actual download speed to your device depends on your network connection, as we serve files directly from Cloudflare R2 servers to maximize bandwidth.
Do I need to register or sign up for YTSave?
No registration, subscription, or email address is required. YTSave is a free-to-use multimedia tool with zero friction. You can access the tool and start downloading immediately.
Is YTSave safe and free from advertisements?
Yes, YTSave is designed to be a clean, premium utility. We do not inject banner ads, redirects, or pop-ups. We prioritize user privacy and system security.
Does YTSave support downloading YouTube playlists?
Yes. Paste the playlist link into the downloader. YTSave will extract the first video or list the video metadata. You can easily queue downloads from the playlist.
Can I download YouTube Shorts?
Yes. Copy the URL of any YouTube Short (e.g. from youtube.com/shorts/) and paste it into YTSave. It will instantly parse the Short and fetch the highest available MP4 file.
How do I convert YouTube videos to MP3?
Paste the video link, switch the quality selector tab from 'Video' to 'Audio Only', choose your quality (like MP3 320kbps), and click download. YTSave extracts the audio and outputs a standard MP3 file.
What audio formats does YTSave support?
We support high-quality MP3 (320kbps), standard M4A (128kbps), and high-fidelity OPUS (~160kbps). Choose your preferred format in the audio options tab.
Is there a limit on how many videos I can download?
No, there are no limits on the number of conversions. Our gateway includes a generous rate limit of 100 queries per hour per IP address to prevent spam bots.
Are downloaded videos saved permanently on your servers?
No. All downloaded video and audio files are stored in temporary Cloudflare R2 buckets for exactly 30 minutes, allowing users time to download them. After 30 minutes, files are permanently deleted.
Does YTSave work on mobile devices?
Yes. YTSave is mobile-first. It is optimized for iOS and Android web browsers, featuring touch-friendly buttons and keyboard settings (type=url).
Can I install YTSave as an app?
Yes. YTSave includes a PWA manifest. You can select 'Add to Home Screen' in Safari on iOS or Chrome on Android to install it as an app.
Does YTSave support downloading copyrighted content?
YTSave is intended for downloading non-copyrighted media, creative commons videos, and your own uploaded content. We respect copyright holders and intellectual property.
Why did my download fail?
Downloads can fail if the video is private, age-restricted, or geo-blocked by the uploader. If a standard public video fails, retry or contact us.
Is YTSave affiliated with YouTube or Google?
No. YTSave is an independent web application and is not associated with, endorsed by, or affiliated with Google LLC or YouTube.
Does YTSave store search history or user data?
No. Your search history is stored only in your local browser storage (LocalStorage) for convenience, and is never uploaded to our servers.
Can I download videos from websites other than YouTube?
Currently, YTSave is optimized exclusively for YouTube videos, Shorts, and playlists, leveraging specialized yt-dlp parsers.
What happens if a download gets interrupted?
If your network drops, you can reopen the page, paste the URL again, and restart the process. It will quickly hit our worker cache and serve the download.
